On 13 and 14 November, the Maison française d’Oxford hosted the workshop “Comparative and World literature through the Lens of Modernist and Translation Studies”, organised as part of the ULB-Oxford collaborative project “When the rural meets the urban: towards a cultural history of modernism in Bohemia, 1898-1925“. This project, led by Professors Petra James at ULB and Rajendra Anand Chitnis at the University of Oxford, is one of nine supported by the Wiener-Anspach Foundation for the period 2022-2024.
The workshop provided a networking opportunity for participants to present their current projects in modernist studies and their methodological approaches, and to discuss possible future research projects. The wider aim is to create a collaborative network in literary studies between ULB and Oxford in the field of modernism and translation studies.
The workshop programme is available on the website of the Maison française d’Oxford.
